Jamaal Bowman’s Latest Take on Shedeur Sanders: Let’s Break It Down

My friends, Jamaal Bowman is at it again. You might remember him as the Congressman who pulled a fire alarm — obviously to save our democracy. Now, he claims Shedeur Sanders, son of NFL legend Deion Sanders, wasn’t drafted early because he’s black.

I get so tired of this nonsense. The first pick in this year’s NFL Draft was a black quarterback. Over half of NFL players and about 20% of head coaches are black.

Race was once a huge problem in sports, but this narrative only fuels the perceived problem today.

Maybe Shedeur wasn’t drafted early because he skipped the Combine, allegedly sandbagged interviews, and reportedly showed entitlement. My friends, NFL teams want players with talent and good character — especially at quarterback. If Shedeur’s good enough, he’ll succeed — regardless of his race.
