My friends, CBS just axed “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” — and apparently, it’s not politics, just math. According to reports, the show was bleeding $40 million a year, while Colbert was paid a $20 million salary and had 200 staffers. What on earth did those 200 people do, anyway?

But if you ask some folks on the Left, this is all because Trump has secretly seized control of late-night TV. Never mind that ad revenues are tanking or that audiences have cut the cord and moved to streaming — it’s got to be a MAGA plot, right?

It’s wild, the lengths people will go to avoid reality. Maybe the real problem is that Colbert’s “comedy” just isn’t funny — at least, not to the folks actually watching TV these days.
