Tax Day Turns 112: A Birthday America Shouldn't Celebrate

My friends, let me wish a very happy birthday to Tax Day, turning 112 years old today.

While some Americans think our nation was founded in the 1960s, the truth is, she’s been thriving for nearly 250 years. So how did she survive her first 136 years without Tax Day — or the IRS?

The Radical Left claims abolishing the IRS would be catastrophic — but why?

Before 1913, the federal government funded itself through tariffs and excise taxes — not by meddling in citizens’ private incomes and information. And yet somehow — miraculously — we survived.

So while we usually wish the birthday boy “many more,” this time I say: 112 years is enough. Let’s make this the last. To liberty, my friends!
