Todd Talk: Pearl Harbor, Freedom, and the Courage That Endures

A 60-second conservative commentary with humor and heart.

My friends, yesterday marked 84 years since the attack on Pearl Harbor — a day that will live in infamy, as President Roosevelt said. Only twelve survivors remain, according to Newsmax, reminding us how quickly living memory slips away.

America in 1941 didn’t have the military might we do today. Our Pacific fleet was nearly decimated after the attack. Yet the American people came together, united in purpose and determined to defend freedom. The men who fought island by island through the Pacific, and all the people of that generation who ultimately won the war — even through the terrible weight of Hiroshima and Nagasaki — liberated millions and secured America’s future.

Their sacrifice must never be forgotten. And neither should the truth that a free nation survives only when its people are willing to stand for it.
